The Un-married and Separated Parents of Ireland is a voluntary organisation, which was created to assist un-married and separated parents through their separation and help them gain a knowledge of their rights.
The concerns we identified was that not only fathers but also mothers and children suffered under an unjust family law system, on a daily basis. We are a support mechanism for these parents and their children, who are the innocent victims of the separation.
The volunteers involved not only provide an experienced service but also fund both weekly meetings and phone support.
Our volunteers provide a daily service, which includes dealing with potential suicides, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, depressants etc. which in many cases have all been brought on by family breakdown and which is for all intents and purposes a hidden killer.
We provide an invaluable service for those in need and in dire circumstances.
Many of the men and women attending our meetings have spoken of how we have saved their lives.
We didn't save them, they made that most important first phone call and due to our volunteers experience we were able to assist them through their difficulties.
They gained the Knowledge, Strength and Determination to carry on when the Family Law Courts System has left them deflated.
Volunteers are not paid
It's not because they are Useless
It's because they are Priceless.
We Are Part of The Solution.
Separation is a highly charged emotional subject that leaves
no-one unscarred
An important announcement
Eamonn Quinn will be finishing up assisting with the meetings in Phibsboro in December 2017.
He will be finishing up permanently in Tallaght in July 2018 and the Office will be closing.
After 18 years the time has come to retire from the Voluntary support I have offered and the many people I have helped.( We have Helped )
As there is nobody to take over the Office the other support staff are not in a position to carry on nor do they want to keep the office open.
In other words this Organisation will no longer exist in it's present form .
.
There are many members that have given a lot of their time and support to this group over the years and without them it would not have been as successful as it was.
To all the members I would like to thank them for their help and support for myself and the many people that came to us for help in whatever difficulties they presented with.
Eamonn Quinn
